Dr Yashica Khalawan is a board-certified specialist dermatologist based in KwaZulu-Natal, and a board-certified dermatologist on the Dolphin Coast corridor. Her work sits at the intersection of clinical practice, research, advocacy and education — a combined identity she describes simply as being a “medvocate.”

Dr Yashica's approach is guided by the belief that skin health is never just cosmetic , it is medical, psychological and deeply personal. She is drawn to work with population-level impact and meaning over high-volume private practice, choosing depth of care and depth of purpose over throughput.
